Bar Blog #1

I've decide to start a new miniseries of blogs. The idea behind it is that I will blog from various bars I go to describing my time there. Obviously I won't be able to do this at every bar and especially not on the weekends so these things probably won't be all that interesting, but I'm going to do them anyways for funsies. Tonight I'm at the Burrito Union. Let's see what's happening!
I picked the Burrito Union because it's Duluth's Home Grown Music Festival and I was hard pressed to find a bar that I could do some homework at. No it wasn't my idea to do homework at the bar, but Emma wanted to go out with her friend and I'm more or less their ride. I'm currently on my first (and probably only) drink of the night, a mildly spicy bloody mary. It's good, got a nice garnish.

The atmosphere here is surprisingly lively for a Tuesday night. Maybe because of the extra people in town for the festival. The music is a sort of dubstep mix and the bar is pretty crowded. I'm in a booth in the corner of the place getting strange looks from pretty much everyone. Yeah, I know you dicks, I look like a nerd.

One of my favorite things about the B.U. is that it's also a late night restaurant. If I wanted too right now I could get any number of their awesome burritos, a beer and taco deal, or even some espresso. They do a good breakfast too but I've only had it once. It's really just a good place to bring people of all ages because there's no age restriction to being here.

Another sweet deal for those of us who are allowed to drink is their weekday specials. Today is half priced bottles of wine, but my favorite by far is the ten dollar pitcher Thursday. I've had some good times and some great vomits due to $20 worth of apricot wheat beer, which they brew here in Duluth.

So yeah, that was probably the most boring review ever. This series probably dies here. Fuck it, you got something to read didn't you?
